RELIEF WORKS |
Flood Relief Works:
28 September 2009 shone a black day on the people residing in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa. The normal rain took a cruel face, a torrential rainfall which eventually led to a grave flood. The Government has described this deluge as the most awful in many decades in Southern India, which killed about 280 people and leaving more than 10 million people without a roof over their head and deprived of food and clothing across more than 14 districts.
"It is a serious situation," said Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa told reporters. More than 300,000 people have taken refuge in about 1,000 relief camps set up by the government. But thousands are still living without shelter or electricity. Vast tracts of agricultural land are under water and crops have been destroyed. Thousands of livestock, which many farmers depend on to make a living, have also corroded in the torrential rains that lashed the state for nearly a week. The rains have been held responsible by weather experts on a cyclone in the Bay of Bengal. Health officials said measures were being taken to prevent the outbreak of water-borne diseases in the affected areas.
Our Sathyam Ministry relief team in Andhra Pradesh is on their toe to help the people recoup. They have distributed the Love Bucket to the people, which filled them with happiness and relief. The team also strengthened them with the word of God which soothed and comforted the comatose and dreary souls. They are now completely looking unto the Lord to send them a help.

Tsunami Relief Operations
The whole world was shocked on December 26th, 2004 when the tsunami waves hit several Indian Ocean countries. In India, more than 70,000 people died and millions were injured. Thousands became homeless and jobless. Contagious diseases like cholera, plague and malaria spread through parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Our relief team rushed to these areas with food, medicines & clothes. Through charitable works we shared the love of God and proved that we were created by Jesus for good works (Eph 2:10). |
